Computer and dining chairs are very similar- general proportions and seat height are the same. The main difference is that a computer or work chair needs a slightly more upright back support. The difference is small and in practice varies more upon the sitters normal posture. |

Arms or not ? |
|
Any chair with arms should be more comfortable than one without. Arms (at the correct height) support the arms and reduce the weight on the upper back. However they do restrict movement on and off the chair, and so can be a inconvenient in some situations. |
