Furniture that is good for you and good for the environment.

Every piece is handmade from plank to finished product in a small studio with minimal equipment by one person, Malcolm David Smith.

For the user the seating aims to be ergonomic, with good leg, back, arm and head support as appropriate.

The curves in the seating aim to support those areas that need it while avoiding areas that would cause pressure points.

Note- every person is different so sitting on the chair(s) is vital, preferably for at least 10 or 15 minutes to check comfort and support.

Timber is of course a totally natural material and is very sustainable. (See timber sourcing section for more info.) The designs are highly durable (some design date back 20 years) Due to the design system used for these products if a piece does become damaged they are relatively easy to repair. There are of course no fabrics to replace. These pieces are made to last a life times, or more.

There is very little waste produced. The timber off cuts are used as fire wood and the majority of the sawdust is used be pet owners for rabbits etc.

Practical durable comfortable designs.
