Are these chairs really good for my back ? |
All the chairs are designed to give excellent ergonomic back support, but every person is different so try them out. Visit the Gallery or come to an exhibition- see Contact Details page. |
How many are made in a year? |
This varies, most designs have no more than one or two items made per year. |
Why can I not buy a chair via these web pages ? |
With any chair it is very important to sit on it for as long as possible before purchasing it. This is why visitors are welcome to the Studio/Gallery (tea & coffee usually available), or if that is no convenient it may be possible to visit one of the exhibitions, (see Contact Details Page). Come and try ! |
Are these web pages the full catalogue ? |
No, there are other chairs, a range of tables and music stands. It does represent the range of designs, but there is no complete catalogue, the range is very organic, it just keeps evolving..... |

Where does the inspiration come from ? |
All of the designs are a blend of ergonomics based around the human shape, natural organic forms and simple structures that can be articulated. |
Is each piece a ‘One off’ ? |
No. Once the basic design has been finalised, templates are created and one item is made. It could then be repeated exactly, but in reality the designs are constantly evolving & developing, often into entirely new designs. Each piece is individually handmade using a minimum of equipment. |
